Producer Frank Farian, de man achter Boney M en Milli Vanilli, introduceerde in 1995 zijn equivalent uit de jaren 90, La Bouche. Het in Duitsland gevestigde Eurodance-duo La Bouche bestond uit zangeres Melanie Thornton en rapper Lane McCray. Ze behaalden internationaal succes in 1995 toen de hitsingle "Be My Lover" de top van de hitlijsten bereikte. In datzelfde jaar brachten ze hun debuutalbum Sweet Dreams uit met de singles "Fallin' In Love" en "I Love To Love"
