Django Django - Glowing In the Dark (LP)

Een album van de Britse groep Django Django bevat minstens één meerstemmig gezongen poptoverbal die je blijft draaien, een sprankelend liedje als een dot kleurige knetterkauwgum.
Op het vierde album Glowing in the Dark is dat niet anders: Spirals kan moeiteloos wedijveren met Marble Skies (2018), First Light (2015) en Default (2012).
Na vier albums is Django Django nog altijd een band die speelse, ongrijpbare popmuziek maakt zonder ingewikkeld of kunstzinnig te doen, zoals in het verleden Super Furry Animals en The Beta Band dat konden (met de laatste band heeft Django Django een familieband: ‘Django Dave’ en ‘Beta John’ Maclean zijn broers).  © Volkskrant 2021
