Wishbone Ash bereikte in de jaren 70 aanzienlijk succes, waarbij ze een van Engeland's populairste hardrock acts waren en acht top 40 albums behaalden. Vaak beschouwd als een van de toonaangevende UK live acts van de jaren '70, tourden ze tijdens deze periode en in de volgende decennia.
